Matcha ice creams are one of the most sought-after treats of the summer, with matcha icecream shops popping up across the country to offer it in a variety of flavours and flavours of ice cream.
The ice cream shops offer customers a choice of ice creamas and other treats to choose from as they shop for their next treat.
The latest celebrity matcha matcha Ice Cream Shop in Dublin has already been booked out by some of the biggest names in pop culture.
The shop’s founder, Michelle Ritter, said she had been trying to find a way to sell the ice cream for weeks.
The first attempt to do so was to open a shop in Londonderry, and she has now expanded to Dublin.
“It’s a little bit of a weird one,” Ms Ritter said.
“I was really hoping that someone would get the idea of opening a shop on a street in Lough Neagh.”
But then, I was just like ‘there’s not going to be one’.
“I really didn’t know what to do.
I thought I’d go out and find somebody else to do it, and then maybe if I did it again I’d be able to do something else.”
The shop has now become a hot spot for celebrities, with the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Rachel Bilson, Kate Hudson, Sarah Ferguson and many more.
Ms Ritter is hopeful that her store will become a regular part of people’s lives in the coming months.
“There are a lot of celebrities that I work with,” she said.
“I think the shop is a really big part of that.”
If it does well, it will be really important to keep it going, to keep selling the ice creameras and the matches.
“Ms Ritters said her shop was a little small to cater for the huge crowds of people who are going to visit the shop every day.”
We don’t have the capacity to have the store like a big store,” she explained.”
So if it gets too big, we will have to close.
