Jade Leaf, a startup that creates matcha-flavored products and snacks, has announced its plans to open a second office in the United Kingdom.
The company’s cofounder and CEO, Jade Leaf cofounder, Jeremy Leaf, said in a blog post that the UK office will be home to a team of “the world’s best chefs and matcha experts” who will be helping develop products in the UK, including the brand’s signature matcha drink.
“Jade Leaf will be headquartered in the heart of London and we have a long-term vision to become a global leader in the matcha beverage category, with an eye on the future,” the company wrote in its blog post.
“In the UK we’ll be working closely with local chefs to ensure that Jade Leaf’s products meet the high standards we set for ourselves.”
The UK will be a natural home for Jade Leaf because it has one of the highest concentrations of matcha plants, according to the company.
“Jade leaf has been an inspiration for me to take on this new venture,” Leaf said.
“My team has been doing amazing work and I’m very excited to be able to bring it to the UK.”
The London office will serve as a showcase for Jadeleaf products, according the company, which has already raised over $5 million in funding.
The team is hoping to grow the business and launch other products.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to take our brand from concept to launch,” Leaf added.
“Our aim is to grow our business and create products to make it even better for the people who rely on us for their daily tea, matcha and smoothies.”
